Augustine P. Bartning

Director, Institutional and International Strategies

Augustine P. Bartning, Director, Institutional & International Strategies, came to Keeling & Associates, LLC, from the Office of the Assistant Vice President at Health Services at Columbia University. Prior to working and studying at Columbia, he worked for a non-profit foundation developing programs for children in the arts and leading fund-raising efforts with local governments and businesses in Argentina. He received a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University where he was an active campus leader.

His focus on culture and politics, international cultural, business, and educational experience in over 30 countries, and knowledge of myriad languages and cultures (he is proficient in Spanish, conversant in Portuguese, and acquainted with French, Chinese, and Japanese) add depth to the discussion about the future of higher education practice.

Augustine seeks to enhance student success and learning in higher education by exploring opportunities in collaborating with international institutions; he is the assigned project manager to the recently created International Center for Student Success and Institutional Accountability (ICSSIA). When not engaging with foreign institutions, he prepares reports and presentations, organizes our participation in conferences and events, manages the development and maintenance of our intellectual capital, and coordinates some client projects.

Augustine is originally from Phoenix, Arizona, and often misses the desert.
