As a current undergraduate or graduate student, you hold a unique understanding of higher education that we cannot afford to lose touch with—your insightful perspective, values, knowledge, and opinion count as much as those of current administrators and senior leaders.

As much as we rely on our years of experience, research, scholarship, and network of professionals, we also turn to students for guidance. After all, in order to understand the student experience, we must know students. K&A offers students professional opportunities that can help bolster a career or provide the chance for students to give back to higher education. Students provide the team at K&A with enthusiasm, energy, support, and the unique perspective of the ever-changing world of campus life and student experiences.

RECENT INTERNS

Jessica A. Summers has been serving as an intern for Keeling & Associates (Summer & Fall 2006). Jessica received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English with minors in Professional Writing and Creative Writing from Eastern Illinois University, where she focused on Contemporary American literature and Creative Non-Fiction writing. During her undergraduate coursework, she completed an honors thesis, which analyzed the use of the dichotomous relationship between Modernism and memory in truth definition. Jessica will soon complete graduate coursework at Eastern Illinois University in Technology, with an emphasis in Training and Development and a certificate in Work Performance Improvement. Previous posts include work as a resident assistant and an undergraduate international student recruiter at Eastern, a public relations intern at Lake Land Community College, an undergraduate admissions counselor at Culver-Stockton College, and an instructional designer at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She currently holds a graduate assistantship in the College of Education and Professional Studies at Eastern Illinois University.
