Canadian Representative

Colin D. Lavery, a native and citizen of Canada and K&A's Director, Client Partnerships & Projects, specializes in Business Development and Project Planning and Management. Colin joined K&A in 2004; he creates and manages our new client partnerships in higher education, business, and government and not-for-profit organizations, strengthens the existing ones, manages client projects, participates as a consultant on selected projects, and ensures successful outcomes for all.

Colin took his Bachelor's degree of Urban & Economic Planning from the University of Toronto. He continued at Toronto in conjunction with Queen's University - International Study Centre, Herstmonceux Castle, East Sussex, U.K. for a Graduate Degree in European Studies and then to the University of British Columbia for a Graduate Certificate in Urban Land Economics.

Before joining K&A, Colin worked as an International Site Selection Consultant for businesses seeking to relocate or open a new corporate facility; Colin was responsible for research, analysis and the strategic operations and location decision support pertaining to clients' core business functions. He has extensive experience in matters of land use and municipal affairs, having negotiated numerous lucrative economic development incentive packages, Municipal Access Agreements, and Municipal Rights of Way for his clients within a variety of industry sectors including technology, financial services, automotive parts, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, transportation, and consumer goods all over North America.

In his work with K&A, Colin brings his diverse experience in business, negotiation, and governmental relations to bear in developing new client partnerships and creating projects that meet our clients' goals and exceed their expectations.
