Science Education and Civic Engagement: An International Journal (SECEIJ)

K&A is excited to be part of the inaugural issue of the Science Education and Civic Engagement: An International Journal (SECEIJ)--launched in February 2007--published by David Burns on behalf of the National Center for Science and Civic Engagement and SENCER.

Web-based and peer-reviewed, the Journal provides a new way for science educators, and those interested in linking science to other disciplines, to share original ideas.  This first issue contains the Journal’s mission statement, an introduction from the editors, a review article on HIV/AIDS in Africa, two project reports (one focusing on an environmental science program and the other on non-science majors discovering the science behind national public health issues), a book review on Learning to Think, and a review of the Darwin exhibit at the American Museum of Natural History.

Richard Keeling, K&A’s Chairman & Senior Executive Consultant, serves as co-editor (together with Trace Jordan of New York University) for the Journal. Kyle Hutchison, K&A’s Chief of Staff, is the Journal's managing editor.

The Journal can be accessed at www.seceij.net
